July 4th weekend was super!!!
The kids all had a blast and by Sunday morning I was beat! On Friday Danny and I took all the kids to the Marin County Fair! My parents couldn't go since that was the morning they left for Europe, but it hella fun! We started out the day watchin the PIG races! It was so much fun. The fair has a hug barn area and the animals and the rides are for sure the highlight! The rides are all FREE with admission so the kids went on a ton of them!! I went on a couple as well.
The highlight for me was when we all went on the HUGE ferris wheel! All 7 of us could fit in one bucket and it was awesome!! The views were amazing and everyone had a blast! Me, Sydney, and Danielle were a little scared.
Then on Saturday we were all invited to a BBQ at Danny's work friends house in Brentwood. To say the house was BEAUTIFUL does not begin to describe it and the family was super friendly and warm and we all had a great time. We swam, played outside, and ate awesome BBQ. We left Brentwood at 7:30, drove back to Martinez, changed clothes in record time, and made it just in time to catch the fireworks at the Martinez Waterfront. Maya, Sydney, and Jonah had never seen fireworks before and they were just in AWE! The next day Sydney made me a picture that said 'Thanks for the fireworks'...it was sooo adorable!
We were all pretty beat when we finally got home at about 11:00 at nite, but it was well worth it!
A couple of weeks ago Danny and I spend three awesome, awesome days in Costanoa. Costanoa is in between Pescadero and Santa Cruz. It's a beautiful piece of land with a lodge, tent cabins, tent camping, and motorhome camping. We stayed in a tent cabin and hiked, drove to Pescadero to eat at Duarte's Tavern, went to the Santa Cruz boardwalk, and spent time just relaxing at Costanoa. I haven't been camping in soo many years. Next time we are going to take the kids! Karen and Josh told me about Costanoa many years ago and I've been wanting to go ever since!!
Jonah's graduation was a blessed event to say the least!
Two years ago Jonah barely spoke, cried every time he got on Shirley's bus, and played by himself 90% of the time.
Jonah's 2 years in Carolyn's preschool class may very well be the most important years of his life. Carolyn and her aides; and of course Jonah's speech and occupational therapist, are angels!!!
Jonah is attending regular Kindergarten with Maya and Sydney next year!
Jonah plays so well with his siblings, Jonah tells time, Jonah reads and Jonah does math.
My little boy has grown so much and I am so very proud of all he has accomplished!
May 29th was Maya and Sydney's graduation from Tiny Tots Preschool! They spent two years in the program and loved every minute of it! They are heading back to Tiny Tots for summer camp with Jonah at the end of June so it wasn't a super sad goodbye!!
They sang tons of songs and even got graduation caps and a diploma! I'm a proud, proud mama. Jonah's graduation is on June 9th!
Six plus hours on a 'charter bus' with 40 2nd graders, a dozen chaperones, and 2 teachers, we journeyed to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for 3 fun filled hours!!
The kids really had a blast and we saw lots of great sealife and even had our own special class.
The journey began at 7:00 am and we got back to Nyomi's school just 10 hours later!
I'm super lucky I got to go on the field trip to spend the day with my big girl! Nyomi didn't want to sit with her mama on the way back to Pinole, but after seeing I was the one with the gum, Nintendo DS, the iPod, and the lap to rest her little head on, she realized her seat partner was top notch!
Somehow my little babies are now 5 years old?!
I'm soo proud of them and so very blessed to be their mama!
My mom took Maya, Sydney, and Jonah to the Build-A-Bear workshop and we also had a great house partay with a jumper out front and lots of friends!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYA
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYDNEY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JONAH
Photo summary:
1. Lucy (my parents dog) vacationed at our home when my parents went to Puerto Rico last month. (Nyomi, Sydney, and Lucy)
2. Twin love! Sydney & Maya - - Maya has short hair and bangs now so it's way easier for people to tell them apart. That and Sydney is about an inch taller and weighs like 3-4 pounds more. Syd is bigger than Jonah too!
3. Jonah and his giraffe.
4. Baking with Nomi, Maya, and Sydney.
5. Jonah posing with his lego creation. It was a little house with a very tall chimney, it even has a locking door and people inside.
Another annual tradition, New Years week in Lake Tahoe! We journeyed to my parents place at the Hyatt Vacation Club in Incline Village on new years eve day. I prayed for good driving weather and we were blessed with easy drives to and from.
The kids had an awesome time! We played in the snow, sledded, built a snowman, ate yummy foods, and even went bowling.
